Lovely Wife Album art tends to be very much in the found images/collage realm nowadays, so the below designs take their images from The British Library, a photo of Joe’s dog (RIP D’arcy) and some stock footage respectively. Audible Beef already existed as the record title before I found the art, so when I found the cow on The British Library Flickr it was a perfect fit. Similar story with Best In Show – title first and the image of D’arcy fit perfectly. Both of these have some relatively minor image manipulation going on. I thinned out the hair lines on Audible Beef to make it look as though the title and cassette sides had been shaved in, and Best In Show has some basic shapes added into to set the Image and title up as a pump clip/beer logo with a stock image of beer serving as the background. I also ran Best In Show through a colour half tone filter to make the printing look a bit older.
