I wanted to do something in line with the experimental take on beat driven electronics on this split, particularly given the description that comes with it and the kind of absurdist Oizo-esque sounds in places; and the idea of some kind of petri dish/beaker creature evolved pretty organically from there. This was all done in ink on paper and digitally coloured after the fact. A good excercise in linework on glass forms, and ‘fluids’ within them. I was also pretty happy at getting the act names on the beaker label.

I did the layout work for this one as well, keeping it pretty minimal with text colours tied into the gunge bubbles and a font that sort of mimics the kind of typewrite/lab font that I was getting at on the beaker.

This was released on cassette on Cruel Nature Recordings.
