Our lawful bases for the collection and use of your data
Our lawful bases for collecting or using personal information for information updates or marketing purposes are:
- Consent – I have permission from you after I gave you all the relevant information. All of your data protection rights may apply, except the right to object. To be clear, you do have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests – I’m collecting or using your information because it benefits you, our organisation or someone else, without causing an undue risk of harm to anyone. All of your data protection rights may apply, except the right to portability. Our legitimate interests are:

- If a visitor signs up to a mailing list they will check a box confirming that they consent to being sent email updates. This will allow me to notify them of relevant events and products that they may be interested in, in accordance with the sign-up. They will not be emailed for any other purposes.

- When a customer gets in contact with me with a query or a job I will know their email address and any other contact details they choose to give me. This will be via a contact form that they consent to using. This will be used for purposes of communication about the job, and on occasion if I have something relevant or useful to pass on. Contact details will not be used for cold marketing and will not be passed on.

How long I keep information
I keep your information for as long as it is required for the job (E.G. communication for comission work)and no longer. If you sign up to a mailing list that email will remain on the mailing list until you remove it or the mailing list stops, at which point it will be deleted.

If you remain unhappy with how I’ve used your data after raising a complaint with us, you can also complain to the ICO.
