The third Riot City T-shirt design was for their German tour and so less tied to a specific location or point of interest so I had a bit of room on this one. The only place I could think to go after the cybernetic eagle and jaguar, was to combine the two into some kind of jaguar/eagle/cyborg gryphon, and so that’s exactly what I did. The scale is absolutely to pot on this thing in a way that I think only heavy metal art allows, and I imagined this thing as some kind of kaiju type creature swooping in from space. The back was a few layered map images with some digital painting over the top to represent the cities this absurd gryphon was planning on demolishing.
