I made a scaled up version of the Plague Rider noise rig for the first All The Heavens Were A Bell live set, taking advantage of the fact that the All The Heavens material is slower and more texture based, and also requires more sound to fill it out, given that there are only two of us. To that end, this noise rig is made out of a bit of box aluminium almost as tall as I am, and kitted out with one big spring and a bunch of piano strings, as well as a circuit bent reverb unit. This is still very much a work in progress device, and as much as there is a load more room for pedals, I’m leaning toward adding in more sound sources into the additional space instead.
