The images I was sent for this were really nice to work with as images in general, but also as visual elements to build the rest of the inlay and layouts from. Really satisfying in their simplicity. I shuffled the plectrums/shapes a tad out of grid on the cover so as to fit them around the dimensions of the cassette, and shuffled a few about to act as frames for the text on the inlay. I kept the font the same as used on previous designs (shown at the bottom of the page) to keep a thread of consistency running through the releases – something that design work for Cruel Nature allows me to do a lot.

This printed slightly darker than the original images, though not quite as dark as the product photo suggests. The print on the cassette ended up being on black, but I’ve kept the blue shade in for visibility’s sake.
