Door

A sort of flesh dirigible carrying a ‘portal’ for this one. This one was drawn whilst listening to Bodies On Everest and was heavily influenced by the bizarre spoken word at the start of Gold Fangs In Enemy Territory and the cover art. I wanted some kind of ‘ordinary’ fire door floating beneath some kind of cosmic horror, as if on the other side somewhere was an ordinary section of industrial building. Useful experiments with drawing flat linear surfaces for this one. The flesh and background was done in very much the usual way, but the door and tethers were done with selection tools and lines for a sharp contrast.

These are all part of my regular drawings series that you can get at on my buymeacoffee.
