First Avenue studios is the place where nearly all of my projects started out, and is my second home in a lot of respects, so I was pretty chuffed to be asked to sort them out a T-shirt. The design for this one is a bit of a niche in-reference to David Curle who runs the studio, and the view of the back of his head that we’re all so used to while recording our various projects. So the design became Dave’s head scaled up to planetary size and the First Ave building in orbit, with the logo/sign detached and speeding toward the viewer. This was done in ink dot work on paper and printed with a white to yellow fade effect.
