brine Shrimp
The most recent version of Shrimp gestated for nearly a year before I put it out, and with a weird warped and spatial mix on it by David Curle at First Ave, Brine Shrimp felt like an appropriate title for the nearly two hours worth of pickled free grind across the two cassettes. As it turns out brine shrimps are alarmingly awkward to draw, both in the sense of being small and transparent and so hard to pick up details on, but also by virtue of being very small textures tend to soften and disappear at larger scales. The end result is the digitally painted swimmer below, sitting on an off-white background to sit part way between the black and white of previous releases, and also represent something a bit briny.
This was released on cassette via Panurus Productions.
