The running theme for the Penance Stare / Lump Hammer gig posters where I was doing them was to do something that embodied ‘Lumpy Stare’, so this one was a frogfish (a renowned lumpy fish) covered in eyes, which is a pretty direct fit I think. All digital painting, loosely based on an actual frogfish to begin with and then further ‘lumped out’ as I went. Layout by me.
