The Bellflower
The Bellflower is a very physical, durational drum piece by Dan Johnson, and the challenge with creating the art was to come up with something that referenced that physicality without looking overly macho. The result is this plane of disembodied muscle, stretching into the distance, but also into light as opposed to something dark and heavy. That and the pale pink help to keep it airy and metaphysical, referencing the effort and catharsis as opposed to strength and power.
This came out on Panurus Productions on cassette.
