Probably the longest running project I’m involved with, I joined Plague Rider in 2013 and since then we’ve developed from a choppy tech-death band into the roiling experimental death metal mass that we are today. Starting out on vocals I now also handle noise duties and have always handled the art and design side of things.
Driving at something that for me is a quite a foundational quality for most extreme metal genres, particularly death metal, the aim has always been to push at technicality in quite a visceral limits-of-the body sense and make stuff that previously we would have been unable to.
Lyrical content has slowly shifted from anatomical/pathological on releases like Paroxysm, through to psychological and philosophical on later releases as my lyrical abilities and confidence have developed.
We’re currently signed to Transcending Obscurity
