t-shirt
The design that started a thousand yellow shirts. This was either just before or just after we recorded Paroxysm and was drawn up in advance of the Plague Rider / Acatalepsy tour. The initial drawing was unipin on layout paper – a sort of mostly accurate mosquito larva that I embellished in the interest of shape and texture, with the latticework texture and logo cut from it done afterward in photoshop. In the process of putting this together I sat the image over a yellow background and realised it was a perfect fit. After much arguing we settled on a run of yellow T-shirts and they were probably the fastest selling merch we’ve made, to the point of producing a second run with a muddy crimson print on a more golden/peach yellow.
There should always be more brightly coloured shirts in heavy music.
