The first Pound Land layout I did came with a cover image with bars for the band name and album title included, but in a loose hand drawn way, and I wanted to keep that quality with the text on the release. What followed is a whole bunch of Pound Land layouts in with I set up the text as a normal font, and then set it the sections up as images, then low tolerance paths, and then warp them so that nothing is ever entirely straight. I use the same procedure on the smaller inlay text, but to a lesser degree. This has now become the consistent template, and I feel it keeps everything consistent with Adam’s art style, without losing the impact font, as well as working with the wonky dirge of the Pound Land music. This has become the consistent visual identity of the Pound Land stuff on Cruel nature and stands out nicely.
