The running theme for the Penance Stare / Lump Hammer gig posters where I was doing them was to do something that embodied ‘Lumpy Stare’, so this one was a toad covered in eyes, with a bit of a cheeky reference to hypno toad in the eye colouring. All digital painting, loosely based on an actual toad and then further mutated as I went – kept it pretty loose on this one. Layout by me.
