Atvm have a skull mascot/motif that;s hand drawn on pretty much everything they do, and always comes attached to anything I’ve ordered from them. I used the most recent version of the guy that I had as a basis for this image, tracing it on layout paper and adding texture and shading. My aim was to get at something a bit similar to the old Fighting Fantasy illustrations (as it turns out you can now download the old bestiary book that I still have held together with duct tape for free here), where the creature is stepping out of the border of the image. Ink on layout paper for this, with digital colouring and a bit of texturing over the top.
